  1. Your best customers already post about you. Now they get something for it, and you get the post.
  2. A customer scans your QR code. On your page, right next to the feedback prompt, there is a card: post a Story, get ten percent off.
  3. They tap it. Three steps: take a photo or video in the Instagram Story camera, add the mention sticker with your handle, and post it. Your handle is one tap to copy, and so is a suggested caption if you set one. Open Instagram, and they are in the Story camera.
  4. Back on your page, they type the username they posted from and tap “I've posted, unlock my reward”. The reward is issued to that username. One per account, every thirty days by default, and you choose how long it stays valid.
  5. Step two: redeem with staff. The reward card shows what they earned, when it has to be used, and one button: unlock with staff.
  6. They show the Story to a team member. The team member checks three things: it is their account, it was posted today, and it mentions you. Then they slide on the customer's phone. Or enter the staff PIN. Or scan the code. That is your setting. The ticket is live, it times out in five minutes, and a screenshot cannot be reused.
  7. Every Story reward lands in Promo Codes with the Instagram handle, and in your Customers list as source: Instagram Story. Nothing connects to Instagram. No API, no login, no permissions asked. A person looked at a Story and confirmed it.
  8. GoodAgain. Give customers a reason to post.

What the customer does

  1. 1

Scans your QR code and taps “Post a Story”

The card on your public page reads “Post a Story, get 10% off”, with the reward taken from your own Offers.

  2. 2

Posts a Story with Instagram's own @mention sticker

Their photo or video, their account. Your handle is one tap to copy, and so is a suggested caption if you set one. “Open Instagram” jumps to the Story camera.

  3. 3

Enters the username they posted from

Then taps “I've posted — unlock my reward”. The reward is issued to that username, once per account per 30 days by default.

  4. 4

Shows the Story and unlocks with staff

The reward card shows what they earned and when it must be used. “Unlock with staff” opens a live ticket that a team member confirms on the customer's phone.

What your team does

A person looks at the Story on the customer's phone and confirms it. That is the whole job.

Check three things

It is on the account they typed in, it was posted today, and it mentions you. A deleted Story or someone else's account is not a claim.

Slide, PIN or scan

Slide to redeem on the customer's phone, type the shared 4-digit staff PIN after the slide, or scan the code on the Redeem screen. You pick the rule.

Hard to fake

The ticket shows a pulsing LIVE badge and a running clock, times out after five minutes, and the code is single-use.

Rules you control

How often per account

Once a day, week, month, every 90 days, or no limit. Default: 30 days.

Redeem within

Same visit, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days. Default: today's visit.

Require Story link

Ask for the link, not just the username, when Stories are checked later.

Show on landing page

Or only on a Custom QR code that includes the Story flow.

Venue tag sticker

A small tag with your logo, name and @handle customers can add as a photo sticker.

Staff confirmation

Use the global rule, slide only, require PIN, or staff scan only.

Suggested caption

A hashtag or a line, shown as a one-tap copy. The Story is still their own.

Your Instagram account

The handle customers mention. Printed on the venue tag if you offer one.

Where Story customers appear

Promo Codes lists each Story reward with the Instagram username it was issued to
The Customers download lists them with Source: Instagram Story and an Instagram Handle column
The staff Redeem screen shows the handle with the hint “Ask to see the Story before redeeming”
Posting a Story is not marketing consent; only customers who tick your marketing box join the mailing list

Questions

Does anything connect to my Instagram account?+

No. There is no login, no app permission and no API. A team member looks at the Story on the customer's phone and confirms it.

Can the same person claim it every day?+

Only as often as your rule allows: once every 30 days per Instagram username by default. Set it to 0 for no limit.

What if they delete the Story after getting the reward?+

Stories vanish after 24 hours anyway. Your team confirmed the post at the time. If it worries you, set the reward to expire the same day.

Can a team member refuse?+

Yes. If the Story does not mention you, is not theirs, or is not from today, they do not confirm it. The reward is only redeemed when a team member slides, enters the PIN or scans.
