Read the script
- You have run a giveaway in the comments before. Counting entries by hand, picking a winner from a screenshot, hoping nobody asks how. Here is the version that keeps the record.
- Post the giveaway on Instagram, then in GoodAgain set the prize, paste the post link, and pick a closing date. The activities are ready: follow, like the post, tag three friends, share to your Story. Rename them, change the entries, or add your own.
- On your page the card appears. Spring giveaway. Win a fifty dollar gift card. Enter on Instagram, ends October twentieth.
- The customer ticks what they did. Each Open button jumps straight to Instagram: your profile, the post, their Story camera. Then their username and email. Entering with nothing ticked is always allowed. That is one entry, and it is what keeps “no purchase necessary” true.
- You're in, with six entries. A confirmation email goes out from your business name, and they can come back before the close to add more. One entry per person, matched on email.
- When entries close, the server draws a winner at random, weighted by entries. Four entries is twice the chance of two. You get an email. The winner does not, yet.
- Open their profile and confirm the follow. Find the comment. Open the Story link. Tick all three, and Send prize unlocks. If they did not do what they ticked, disqualify and redraw, and the record shows it.
- Every draw is written permanently under Past giveaways: the prize, the window, the winner, the counts. The official rules are generated from your settings, including the line Instagram requires. GoodAgain. Run the giveaway, keep the record.
What the customer does
- 1
Opens your page and taps the giveaway card
From your QR code or your link. The card shows the title, the prize and when entries close.
- 2
Ticks the activities they did
Follow us on Instagram (+1), like the giveaway post (+1), tag 3 friends in the comments (+1), share the post to your Story (+2). Each Open button takes them to Instagram and back.
- 3
Enters their name, Instagram username and email
If they ticked the Story share, they paste the Story link. Then “Enter giveaway”. Entering with nothing ticked is allowed and counts as one entry.
- 4
Sees “You're in” and gets a confirmation email
Their entry count is shown, and they can come back before the close to add activities they did later. One entry per person, matched on email.
What you do after the close
The draw is automatic by default. The winner hears nothing until you have checked them.
The server draws
Within about fifteen minutes of closing, at random and weighted by entries. You get an email; the winner does not, yet.
Verify the winner
Opened their profile and they follow us. Found their comment on the post. Opened their Story link and it tags us. Send prize unlocks when every box is ticked.
Disqualify and redraw
If they did not do what they ticked, the draw runs again over everyone else and the disqualified entry is recorded as such.

Who sees what
Who is responsible
You are the promoter, not GoodAgain and not Instagram. You choose the prize, the dates and the activities. GoodAgain provides the software and supplies no prize.
Instagram's promotion guidelines require every giveaway to say it is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by Instagram and to release Instagram from liability. The Official rules sheet includes that line for you.
Prize promotion law is set by your state and varies a great deal. Check your own state's rules, or ask a lawyer, before running a giveaway with a valuable prize. If you are unsure, the safe position is not to run one.
Questions
Does somebody have to buy anything, or follow me, to enter?+
No. Entering with nothing ticked is allowed and gives one entry. Following, liking and sharing only add entries.
Can I pick the winner?+
No. The server draws at random and records the result. The only way to a different winner is Disqualify & redraw, which is also recorded.
Why isn't the winner emailed when the draw happens?+
On purpose. You check their activities first. A winner who never followed you should not be told they won before you have looked.
Can I run this and the Instagram Story Reward at the same time?+
Yes. They are separate cards with separate settings.
